Greek Closet (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a themed outfit rental marketplace for college students, connecting renters with individual sellers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Booking information: your name, email address, and phone number when you book a rental.
- Rental details: event, pickup, and return dates and times for each booking.
- Payment information: processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full card number ourselves — Stripe handles that under its own security standards. When you complete a booking, Stripe also securely saves your payment method on file. This is so we can charge for damage beyond normal wear (see our Terms of Service) without needing you to re-enter payment details after the fact.
- Seller pickup & return address: if you list an item, we collect the address where you’ll meet renters for pickup and return.
Information shared between renters and sellers
Because pickup and return happen directly between a renter and the individual seller they’re booking from, a renter sees that seller’s real pickup & return address once they complete a booking. We only share what’s actually needed to make that in-person handoff possible — we don’t share a seller’s address with anyone who hasn’t booked their item.
How we use this information
- To process and confirm your booking and payment.
- To send you booking confirmations and connect renters with the right seller for pickup and return.
- To review damage claims reported by sellers and, where appropriate, charge for damage beyond normal wear using the payment method saved with Stripe from your original booking.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-party services we use
- Stripe — payment processing, tax calculation, and secure card storage for damage charges.
- Supabase — database and storage for booking and listing information.
- Resend — sending booking confirmation emails.
Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing how they handle data on our behalf.
Data retention
We retain booking records for 12 months after your most recent rental, after which they are deleted unless we’re required to keep them longer for legitimate business or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we need to keep for legitimate business or legal reasons), by contacting us at the email below.
